Renewed Spring

Oh, how I wish it was spring. We had some rain lately, but at least there's some sun out now. I took this photo in a small patch of sunlight. This was as close as I could get to the real thing.

This is a peridot I wrapped for my friend. It's her birthstone and I told her if I found one at the gem faire and it was cheap, I'd set one for her. It was hard to set this due to it's irregular shape. I used scrap goldfilled to set this and probably used a few more curls than I should have, but I couldn't help myself. I think it looks fancy with the curls...

Peridot is the stone whose color reminds me of little new spring leaves, just that bright, pure green color.

I kinda miss using square and half round wire. I'm actually planning to use pink and white goldfilled in 2013 sometime...
